Memorial Weekend Projects

Happy Memorial Day! I want to take a minute to thank all the men and women that have served and defended our country and our freedom!
______________

It was a cloudy, cold and rainy memorial weekend here so what better then to hit the local flea market and pickup on some really fun pieces for my next sale. There were way to many unique items to picture them all here, but this is just a few of my favorites.

The first thing I purchased at the market this weekend was this 48" vintage chicken feeder. I repurposed the feeder as a planter on my deck and planted it with some patriotic colored flowers:)
My mom and I picked up a huge jar of white buttons and she created this adorable button star on burlap. I'm in love with this whimsical patriotic piece!

The last piece I picked up was this vintage tin. It has beautiful patina and it's like 16" tall and could store a lot of craft supplies, garden tools or simply be beautiful just as she sits:)

Oh So Shabby Side Table

This side table was salvaged from a former life as a dressing table. Adorable hardware, lovely lines and cute legs...I just love this little table.

Tin Cans

I can never pass up tin cans...antique, vintage or new there is always a use for them in my house.

Here I attached the cans to an old weathered door panel--a mix of new and old to create something very useful! Possible uses are endless, but I thought it would be fun as a centerpiece, an office organizer, or a silverware/napkin holder for a BBQ or picnic.

Excuse the fake flowers, I was hoping to have lilacs for the photo...but no such luck just yet:(
