Vintage End Table

Whoa, this little end table needed to be rescued!

Two of the legs were broken and part of one was just missing all together, the top had several water stains and much of the stain had worn off from years of use or abuse.

My husband kindly worked his magic and fixed the legs.  I sprayed the cabinet turquoise, sprayed the hardware black, painted the inside of the drawer and cabinet black, gave it a quick sanding, coated it with a rich Kona stain and finished it with some poly.

Distressed Black Dresser

I can never pass up a nice dresser for added storage space so when I saw this nice piece, I knew she was coming home.
These older pieces are usually constructed really well, and this one was no exception -- solid and sturdy. I just freshened it up with a distressed black finish and some new hardware.

Barnwood + Wine Bottle Sconce

During a late night 'pin-fest', I stumbled across a sconce similar to the one shown here. I just fell in love with the idea! At first I made some singles like the ones shown here and then I made a couple triples with three bottles in a row.

I think these will be fun all year around!

Armoire Makeover

We live in a 1950s style rambler and while the house has lots of character, it lacks closet space. So I went in search of a piece that could serve as a nice wardrobe in our entryway.
I found this rustic pine armoire on Craigslist, it had some light damage but nothing that wasn't fixable. I painted it flat black, distressed it a bit and gave it a coat of satin poly. I added a clothes rod on the inside for our jackets and it was done.
